Energy Challenge Fair 2010
As part of the 10% Energy Challenge, the National Environment Agency (NEA) organised an Energy Challenge Week on 1 May β 6 June 2010. Throughout the month, NEA regional offices worked with grassroots organisations to organise energy efficiency-focused community events all over Singapore. The Energy Challenge Month culminated in the Energy Challenge Fair (ECF) 2010 at the Suntec Singapore Convention Centre on 28 May β 6 June 2010. The Senior Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Environment and Water Resources, Dr Amy Khor, was the Guest-of-Honour.

At the ECF 2010 Opening Ceremony, Dr Amy Khor launched the Climate Change brochure. The brochure is to inform the public and students on the key findings of Phase 1 of the Climate Change Study on the possible long-term impacts of climate change on Singapore, the science of climate change and highlights the measures that will be taken in Singapore to adapt to the possible impacts of climate change. The brochure also outlines what Singaporeans can do to help mitigate Singapore's greenhouse gas emissions. For example by adopting good habits to conserve energy and choosing energy efficient home appliances.
The 10 signatories of the Voluntary Agreement (VA) on energy efficient appliances received awards for their efforts in promoting energy efficiency from Dr Amy Khor. Best Denki was awarded the 10% Energy Challenge Champion (retailer) award, for meeting the 6-month target of the Voluntary Agreement and for actively promoting energy efficient products at their stores. 7 other VA signatories were awarded 10% Energy Challenge Champion awards for offering a high percentage (more than 80%) of energy efficient air-conditioner, refrigerator and/or clothes dryer models to consumers.

Many members of the public and exhibitors were very supportive of ECF 2010. For example, many members of the public found the fair useful and said they would visit the fair again. The majority of the exhibitors also found the fair useful in promoting their products and would participate in a similar fair next year.
One company commented that: βThe Energy Challenge Show was successful for us. The show was our first time selling products to the public. But it was so successful that many people have asked us to set up a show room for them to buy. Many commented that there are not many companies selling only energy-saving products and the idea was unique.β
