The inaugural Energy Efficiency National Partnership (EENP) Awards Ceremony was held in conjunction with the NEEC 2011 in the evening of 24 May 2011. For the first time, companies in the manufacturing sector were recognised for their efforts in implementing energy efficiency improvement programmes to reduce energy wastage and improve energy efficiency. The EENP Awards aim to foster a culture of sustained energy efficiency improvement and encourage companies to adopt a more proactive approach towards energy management by profiling positive examples for emulation by the industry. In recognition of its efforts, the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) was presented with the “Best Public Sector Agency in Energy Management” Commendation. The commendation recognises an outstanding public sector agency that has demonstrated exemplary performance and commitment to energy management efforts" and has been proactive in implementing energy efficiency improvements.
