Energy labelling is mandatory for air-conditioners, refrigerators and clothes dryers, which are the 3 appliance groups that are among the most energy intensive in a household.

To provide the public with a platform to find energy efficient home products in one place, NEA has organised an annual Energy Challenge Fair 2010 on 28 May - 6 June 2010. At the fair, 10 signatories of the Voluntary Agreement on energy efficient appliances received awards for their efforts in promoting energy efficiency .
