You can identify energy efficient models by referring to energy labels, which are affixed on appliances in stores. Energy labelling is mandatory for air-conditioners, refrigerators and clothes dryers, which are the 3 appliance groups that are among the most energy intensive in a household.

To provide the public with a platform to find energy efficient home products in one place, NEA has organised an annual Energy Challenge Fair 2009 on 11-13 September 2009. At the fair, 4 retailers and 12 suppliers have also become "10% Energy Challenge Partners" by undertaking to promote energy efficient appliances under a Voluntary Agreement with NEA, HDB and EMA.
