Home Energy Audit

Homeowners obviously want to avoid paying high utility bills. However, most households are unaware about which are the major electricity consuming appliances in the home. A home energy audit is one good way of assessing how energy efficient a household is, identify areas of energy wastage and identify steps to save more energy at home.

Grassroots organisations

The Home Energy Audit (HEA) Workshop under the Environment Champions Community (ECC) Programme is an initiative to garner support and partnership from grassroots leaders. The HEA Workshops aims to train the grassroots leaders/representatives to identify energy-intensive appliances, areas of energy wastage and share energy saving tips to save electricity at home when they conduct home energy audits for their residents.Other volunteers can subsequently be empowered to conduct house-to-house home energy audits for other households/residents to help them to save money through more efficient energy usage at home and also fight climate change.
