Application for SCEM Certification



SCEM Registry

The Registation of SCEM at Associate and Professional Levels is managed and maintained by the SCEM Registry housed under the Institution of Engineers, Singapore (IES).

Certification Criteria

Level Criteria
Education Relevant Experience SCEM Training
Associate Higher NITEC 3 years
  • Apply for SCEM certification within 5 years from the date that the applicants completed SCEM training
Diploma --
Specialist Diploma --
Professional IES Recognised Engineering Degree 2 years
  • Pass 4 core modules and 2 elective modules within 24 months
  • Attain minimum 80% attendance for all modules
  • Apply SCEM certification within 5 years from the date that the applicants pass the last training module
Degree (Others) 3 years + 2000 word report

Application for certification

Candidates who meet the certification criteria may apply for SCEM certification to the SCEM Registry. A Certificate of Registration which is valid for three years, will be issued to successful applicants. For clarifications on SCEM certification, please contact the SCEM Registry at scem@iesnet.org.sg.
