SCEM Training
Training Levels
There are three training levels for SCEM, namely Associate Level, Professional Level and Executive Level, catering to applicants with different educational and training background. All three levels are defined for the industry and building sectors. Candidates who have completed the training at Associate Level or Professional Level and meet the necessary criteria can apply for SCEM certification.
Certifiable levels
Associate Level - Associate level SCEM training focuses on skill training and practical development in energy auditing works, installations, measurements and instrumentations
Professional Level - Professional level SCEM focuses on the theory and practice of energy management, energy efficiency and analysis, procurement, finance and economics. The training aims to develop competency in energy audit works, energy performance contracting and project management, energy efficiency analysis, energy economics and financial assessment. He/She is also expected to carry out data analysis, identify saving potentials and made sound recommendations and proposals

Training Course Contents
The curriculum covers both compulsory and elective modules. Each individual needs to undertake 4 compulsory and 2 elective modules, whereby at the end of each module, the individual has to pass the respective examination which qualifies him/her for the SCEM Certificate.

- Steam and Condensate Systems
- Combined Heat and Power (CHP) Systems/Cogeneration
- Clean Rooms/Laboratories
- Energy Efficiency in Info-Communications Technology Sector
- Building Sector
