Seminar on Enhanced Energy Efficiency by Management


The National Environment Agency (NEA), the Energy Sustainability Unit (ESU) of the National University of Singapore (NUS) and the Institution of Engineers, Singapore (IES) jointly organized the half-day seminar on “Enhanced Energy Efficiency by Management” at the Regent Hotel on 18 September 2008. The Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources, Dr Amy Khor, graced the event as guest-of-honour and launched the Singapore Certified Energy Manager (SCEM) Training Grant at the Seminar.

NEA views energy manager training through the SCEM programme as a strategic initiative to upgrade the overall technical competency of energy efficiency management in Singapore.

At the half-day seminar, ESU provided an overview of the SCEM programme, while distinguished foreign and local speakers shared information and their experience on the topic of energy management.
